Are we Alone in This Vast Universe?

This has been a question asked by Mankind for centuries. Is it possible that there could be life on other worlds somewhere in this huge universe? It would seem very improbable that God would only seed planet Earth with life while creating such an incomprehensibly large universe.

To believe that God only allows life on this one planet is analogous to saying that we are so important to God, that He created the whole universe and this one planet just for us. In other words, Mankind is so self-centered that we feel the whole universe revolves around us.

(Heb 1:1) God, who at sundry (Several; divers; more than one or two) times and in divers (Different; various) manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

(Heb 1:2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; - KJV - (Definitions added for clarification)

Most believe that we are not alone, so much so, that we've even created an organization called the SETI Institute which states that their mission is ".. to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe." Notice their mission statement is to " explain the nature and prevalence of life in the universe". What SETI is attempting to do is find a reason for Mankind's existence and possible life elsewhere in the universe, devoid of the writings given by God the Creator in His scriptures.

Mankind continues to reject the God of creation and the origin of Mankind, even though the Bible has stated thousands of years ago that God created our planet, life and other worlds.

Notice the Bible verse Hebrews 1:2. Here it expounds that Jesus created the Worlds. This implies that God not only created Earth but other worlds in the Heavens above. My question is, if Jesus created other worlds in the Universe, could He have also populated these worlds with life?

The answer to this question may never be known to us until time comes to a close and all things are revealed to God's faithful children.

(Col 1:16) For by him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

(Note: See Definitions Below)

(Col 1:17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist (to hold together or be held together; exist). - KJV - (Definitions added for clarification)

The Clouded Veil

I Personally believe that God does have life on other planets, but God has made the distances between us so great that we will never be able to see or realize their existence before Earth's time runs out.  In other words, we have been quarantined from other worlds because of our fallen sinful state.

We are currently living on a planet that is caught in the middle of a great war between God and Satan and the whole universe is watching this center stage play unfold to see what the outcome will be for inhabitants of this planet. Will we be accepted into the citizenry of the universe or will we be rejected and destroyed, found unfit to be part of the sinless nature that is dominant in the universe, i.e. Heaven?

SETI's efforts will never be realized outside of Satan's deceptions because the whole unfallen universe will not interfere with the conflict that is occurring on this planet. The unfallen residents of this vast universe are only spectators and are not participants.  This is because Satan and his fallen Angels are in the process of deceiving the Human race from accepting God's only salvation through His son Jesus. (i.e. John 3:16)

The war I am referring to here isn't just to determine who has legal ownership of planet Earth, but it is also to determine what decision each living individual on this planet will make concerning who they will give their allegiance to, God or Satan.

(Heb 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

(Heb 12:2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.- KJV

In Hebrews 12:1-2, the Bible talks about us being surrounded by a Cloud of Witnesses. Bible scholars believe this refers to saints that have gone before us and fought the trials of life and suffered for their belief for Jesus sake.

John Gill's Expository of the Whole Bible: - The Great Cloud of Witnesses
... with so great a cloud of witnesses; or "martyrs", as the Old Testament saints, the instances of whose faith and patience are produced in the preceding chapter: these, some of them, were martyrs in the sense in which that word is commonly used; they suffered in the cause, and for the sake of true religion; and they all bore a noble testimony of God, and for him; and they received a testimony from him; and will be hereafter witnesses for, or against us, to whom they are examples of the above graces:

For me, the passages in Hebrews 12:1-2 concerning the Great Cloud of Witnesses refers to other created beings that are part of the Heavenly community which are currently watching the outcome of this battle between God and Satan on this planet.

Our planet is veiled from seeing God's other creations because we are the only planet in His universe which is in a rebellious sinful state.

Salvation is being decided by all individuals who live or who have lived on this earth to determine where each of us will reside after time has been brought to a close by God.

God will one day close the rift in eternity He made, called time, and the fate of countless individuals will be cast in stone and finished because of actions and decisions made while living on this planet.

Our fate again is determined by which side of this great war we take sides on, God's way or Satan's way and Jesus will one day say it's over.   This action I refer to here is called the close of Probation and Jesus will proclaim...

Revelation 22:11 He acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly. And the filthy, let him be filthy still. And the righteous, let him be righteous still. And the holy, let him be holy still.

Will you be a Citizen of the God's Universe?

So what will be your decision? Will you become a citizen in this vast universe or will you be banned from participation in God's Kingdom and destroyed? The choices you make now will determine whether you will live forever in the presence of God or be destroyed at the close of time.

God will not allow any sin to exist in His presence and Kingdom, and He will eliminate it for the safety and happiness of those who now live in His Kingdom.

Please do not deceive yourself, getting into God's Kingdom is not accomplished by good works or being a good person, but is only through the provision that God has made for Mankind through His son, Jesus. Jesus died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary and Christ offers us salvation through his substitutionary death on the cross. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, please consider a change in your life and live and dwell with God's other creation in Eternity.  God only wants to destroy sin, not Sinners.
