For centuries, Mankind has pondered a very perplexing question.  If God exists why does He allow evil to exist in this world.   When we take a closer look at Mankind, we see that we have been constantly plagued with war, destruction, crime, selfishness and evil... Things we feel God should eliminate if He existed.

Over time and from study of the scriptures, we have realized that God has made Himself known and you would think that with God's attributes, evil would not be allowed to exist.  The following are God's declaration of who He is...

God Exists ( I AM)

(Exo 3:14) And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
God is All Good
God is All Knowing
God is All Powerful

With the state of the world, one could conclude that either God isn't really all powerful and all good or God doesn't care.  You would think that if God exists, He would rid evil from this world.   So why is evil allowed to exist and prosper on this planet?

At first observation, it would seem that God is really powerless or at worse, non existent, but after close examination of Bible scripture it's revealed that evil exists because we do.

When God created man, He gave us the ability to make our own decisions.  In other words, God gave Mankind Free Will and with Free Will comes consequences, good or bad, from the decisions we make.   But what have we done with our Free Will?  We've made decisions that breed death, selfishness and the destruction of others.   Evil exists because Mankind has Free Will and exercises poor decisions that hurt ourselves and others.

But, still why doesn't God destroy evil?  The answer is quite simple... If God didn't allow evil, then the Free Will of mankind would not exist and we would be nothing more than robots or puppets to God.

God wants Mankind to love Him by our own choice.  It's our decision.  But make no mistake, God hates evil and will eventually destroy and judge all evil and those who practice it.

This judgment is called the Great White Throne judgment of God where God will judge Mankind.  At present we exist in what is known as Time.  Time was created by God as a temporary rift in Eternity where Time has a Beginning and End.

We now live and exist in time and one day God will stop time and Eternity will continue.  Time will be no more.  It is at this point, at the end of time, everyone will give account for what they have done in this life and God will render judgment to those who have not accepted or have rejected the Son of God, Jesus.

Why Can't we Simply Stop Evil?

If we are to blame for the evil in this world, why can't we simply decide to do away with evil ourselves?  The simple answer to this question is we are living in what is called a [Fallen State].  We live in a world of sin and sinning is something that is natural for us to do.  This is an inborn nature we all have and sin is what we practice.

Evil will not be eradicated from Mankind until Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom where sin and evil have no place to dwell.  But until this day comes, our only hope is in turning our hearts and minds toward the Messiah Jesus and [accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour].  This is when  He will work on our hearts helping us make decisions that are in agreement with Gods wishes and not the evil sinful nature we all share in this world today.

(Rev 20:11) And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

(Rev 20:12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

(Eze 36:26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

(Rev 3:3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
(Jas 4:14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
