Roman Catholic Church Catechism of the Ten Commandments
The following version of the 10 Commandments is taken from the Roman Catholic Catechism. The Catholic church uses the Catechism to teach their parishioners, which is why most Catholics and Protestants do not know that there has been a change to the Laws of God.
NOTE: Notice what Jesus says in Matthew 5:18 about the Law of God (the 10 Commandments)
King James Version: (Matthew 5:18) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
New Living Bible Version: (Matthew 5:18) I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God's law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.
Here is what the Roman Catholic Church did to God's Commandments.
The Catholic Papacy removed the 2nd Commandment, i.e. not to worship idols, from the Catholic Catechism;
They then divided the 10th Commandment into two commandments to make up for the removal of the 2nd Commandment. This was done to reflect the correct number of commandments for the 10 Commandments
They also changed the day of worship from the Sabbath, Saturday to Sunday observance. (i.e. Changed the Original Fourth Commandment)
Roman Catholic Catechism Altered Version of the Ten Commandments
(1) I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me.
(2) You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
(3) Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day. - Note: The Lord's day in the Catholic Church is Sunday, Not Saturday.
(4) Honor your father and your mother.
(5) You shall not kill.
(6) You shall not commit adultery..
(7) You shall not steal.
(8) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
(9) You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
(10) You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

(Exodus 20:10) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
(Leviticus 23:3) Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORDin all your dwellings.
(Leviticus 24:8) Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
(Deuteronomy 5:14) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
(Matthew 12:8) For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
(Mark 2:28) Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
(Luke 6:5) And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
On a Final Note
If you do not know or have drifted away from God, please consider what I've written here. Satan mocks those who reject Jesus, knowing they will suffer the Second Death.
Remember, Belief Cannot Change Reality and the reality is that God exists and wants nothing more than to have a relationship with you through His Son Jesus. Please hearken to His call on your life.
If you do not have a relationship with Jesus, please consider turning your heart and life over to Christ...
